Nusa Penida Island in the south-east area of Bali is one of the most popular places to visit in Bali. Filled with impressive cliffs near Kelingking Beach, beautiful beaches such as Crystal Bay, and many other spectacles to enjoy. Both locals and foreign tourists come here every day, some may also stay overnight in Nusa Penida island. However, tourists can travel here on a one day trip around the island. Not to mention, going diving in Nusa Penida is one of the most wondrous underwater places.

Nusa Penida Trip Highlights

Dive in Nusa Penida has many varieties of diving spots for experienced divers. Just forty minutes from Sanur harbour and you will arrive at the home of the Mola Mola and the Manta Rays. Take note that Mola Mola season comes around July to October while Manta rays can be found all year. These gentle giants are the highlight for divers when visiting Nusa Penida. You can find them near Crystal Bay, Manta Point, and Manta Bay depending on the season.  If you’re really lucky to behold a Mola Mola, we are sure it will be one of your best memories.

Not to forget other favourite spots in Nusa Penida like the clear waters of Crystal Bay and SD Point offering you unique views on their own. Note that the currents in these areas around Nusa Penida are usually strong, so experienced divers are sure to enjoy drift diving within these areas. The water temperature in this area is usually cold, around 22 degrees Celsius to even 16 degree Celsius. The Coldest water is around June to October which is when the Mola-Mola is most likely to be spotted. If you have, equip 5mm wetsuits to keep you from the cold or ask the Dive Center for rent if available.
