Menjangan Island, part of the protected West Bali National Park, is one of Bali’s most peaceful and scenic dive destinations. Menjangan Dive Sites

One of the highlights of Menjangan Island is a site known simply as “The Wall.” This dive site features a vertical reef wall that stretches for around 10 meters, dropping into deeper waters with vibrant marine life along its surface. It’s a favorite spot for both divers and snorkelers thanks to the clear visibility, calm waters, and colorful coral formations teeming with reef fish.

Post I

Menjangan Island offers a massive underwater area covering over 60,000 m², featuring a mix of gentle slopes, flat sandy bottoms, and dramatic drop-offs. It’s a great spot to see schools of batfish cruising along the reef. The wide variety of depths and formations makes it ideal for divers of all levels looking to explore diverse marine habitats.

Post II

This dive site sits at the southeastern tip of Menjangan Island and is known for its impressive wall dives starting at 12 meters. Deeper areas beyond 25 meters reveal large sea fans and gorgonians. Cold water upwellings attract pelagic life such as turtles, manta rays, reef sharks, and occasionally the elusive mola-mola. Keep an eye out for territorial Titan Triggerfish in the area.

Bat Cave Point

Often called the best dive site around Menjangan, Bat Cave Point ranges from shallow 3-meter dives to deeper areas around 40 meters. The site is rich with sea fans, soft corals, and sponges. At 9 to 12 meters, divers can explore crevices and caves, making it perfect for underwater photography. Strong currents bring in big-eye trevallies, bluefin trevallies, and sometimes blacktip reef sharks.

Garden Eels

Located on the island’s northwest tip, this site features a steep wall from 5 to 35 meters. The white sandy slope is home to garden eels, usually seen between 14 and 20 meters. Gorgonian fans shelter long-nose hawkfish, and deeper areas are patrolled by white-tip reef sharks, Napoleon wrasse, and small barracuda schools. Occasional turtle sightings add to the charm.

Coral Garden

Just south of Garden Eels Point, this shallow dive site (5 to 12 meters) is known for its colorful marine life. It’s a great place to see clownfish among their anemones, along with Titan Triggerfish, big-eye trevallies, and camouflaged scorpionfish hiding among the corals. Its shallow depth and gentle conditions make it ideal for beginners and snorkelers.
