Already an Open Water Diver? Take your skills further with the Advanced Open Water Diver Course in Bali. Complete five adventure dives over two days, including deep diving and underwater navigation, while developing new skills based on your interests.

Train at some of Bali’s best-known dive sites, from the USAT Liberty Shipwreck in Tulamben to Padang Bai and Nusa Penida. Your itinerary is planned around your course, experience, preferred locations, and current diving conditions.

2-Day Advanced Open Water Diver Course

Day 1

  • Pickup: Around 06:30 AM – 07:30 AM.
  • Dive Destination: Travel to Nusa Penida, Tulamben, or Padang Bai, based on your selected course option and daily conditions.
  • Training Dives: Complete the scheduled adventure dives.
  • Finish: Around 04:00 PM for Options 1 & 2.
  • Night Dive Option: The schedule includes a later finish on the night-dive day.

Day 2

  • Pickup: Around 06:30 AM – 07:30 AM.
  • Dive Destination: Travel to Nusa Penida, Tulamben, or Padang Bai, based on your selected course option and daily conditions.
  • Training Dives: Complete the scheduled adventure dives.

Advanced Open Water Diver Course FAQs

You need an Open Water Diver certification from SSI, PADI, or another recognized training agency. You should also be medically fit to dive and comfortable with the basic skills learned during your Open Water training.

You don’t need extensive diving experience to continue to Advanced Open Water. However, your instructor will consider your certification, recent diving experience, and comfort in the water before training begins. If you haven’t dived for some time, let us know when booking so we can recommend the appropriate preparation.

Some dives are required as part of your training, while the remaining adventure dives can be selected based on the SSI or PADI program, your interests, experience, available dive sites, and current conditions.

The Open Water Diver course at Bali FUN Diving introduces scuba diving basics up to 18 metres, while the Advanced Open Water course extends depth to 30 metres and builds skills for drift dives, night dives, wreck dives, and deeper underwater navigation. Both courses are available through Bali FUN Diving as an official SSI partner in Sanur, Bali, with the Advanced program being the natural progression for any diver wanting to explore Bali’s full underwater range.
